Our book tells the story of the Rosswog family,
the growth of Winegarden Estate and the creation of New Brunswick's cottage
wine industry.
"This province has a wonderful variety of
natural fruits and the right growing climate for a wide variety of grapes.
Ontario and British Columbia have wine...why
not New Brunswick, too?"
~ Werner Rosswog~

A
MARRIAGE OF TRADITION AND VISION.
Upholding a high German standard of
excellence while preserving a 150-year-old family tradition, the Rosswog
family of Baie Verte traces its distilling roots to the Black Forest region
of Germany and the innovations of great-grandfather Johann Ziegler, Sr.
Today, he would be proud to see his
great-granddaughter-in-law, Roswitha Rosswog carrying on the family heritage as the
only female distiller in Canada and to see his name on a distinct selection
of quality spirits and liqueurs.
Marrying these Old World Ways with a
progressive vision for the future, the Rosswog family pioneered New
Brunswick¡¯s cottage winery industry by leading the province into an
innovative era of wine and spirit production and an exciting new identity as
a grape-growing region.
